Day 02
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for the Sydney City Tour & Harbour Luncheon Cruise – Get your bearings of Sydney with our half-day Grand City Sights Tour. Join your "Aussie" host for a trip to remember, as he takes pride in showing off his hometown. Experience the history of this once Convict Settlement together with its famous modern landmarks. Travel over, under and on the beautiful Sydney Harbour with this combined City Sights and Harbour Luncheon Cruise. Board a luxury catamaran, with its spacious interior for comfortable dining, sit back - relax and take in the fabulous panoramic views while feasting on a superb lunch. This is Australian hospitality at its best. Your tour finishes at 2pm. The rest of the day is at leisure or you may choose some of our optional tours.
Day 03
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for the Blue Mountains Canyon & 4WD Wildlife Discovery – First head West out of Sydney, climb the escarpment and take in panoramic views of the Sydney area. Enjoy fully inclusive morning tea in the bush. Climbing through eucalyptus forests in the high Blue Mountains you will see waterfalls, magnificent canyons and the remarkable Three Sisters. This natural environment provides a wonderful opportunity to look for native Flora and Fauna. Lunch is at a gorgeous historic mountain hotel with fantastic views, great food and friendly Aussie hospitality. This afternoon, take the chance to visit the thrilling Scenic Railway in Katoomba or ride the steepest passenger railway in the world or enjoy a short walk to nearby Katoomba waterfalls & gallery.
Day 04
Breakfast at your hotel. Make your way to Sydney airport for your morning flight to Melbourne. (Estimated flight time: 1hr) Make your way to the selected Melbourne hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure or you may choose from the afternoon optional tours.
Day 05
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for the Marvellous Melbourne City Sights & Phillip Island Penguins - In the morning explore the city of Melbourne, the heart of Australia’s classic south. Learn the history and experience the city’s compelling charm and character. See the famous City Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Flinders Street Station, The Shrine of Remembrance, World Trade Centre and Crown Casino and other highlights. Visit the Royal Botanic Gardens and Fitzroy Gardens and see Captain Cook’s Cottage. At the conclusion of this part of the tour you will be returned to the City for an hour of shopping or lunch. Then rejoin the coach for the second part of the tour - The Penguin Parade. Travel to Phillip Island Nature Park - a natural home of koalas, shearwaters, seals and Little Penguins. Witness the Penguin Parade - the nightly ritual of these little flightless birds as they come home from the sea. Visit the Koala Conservation Centre and watch the koalas in their natural habitat. See seals near the sea, basking in the late sunlight of halftide rocks at the Seal Rocks - home to Australia’s largest colony of seals.
Day 06
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for the Great Ocean Road Adventure – one of the world’s most beautiful scenic drives. Dramatic ~ powerful ~ dangerous and majestic. How can words describe some of the world’s most impressive coastline? Travel to Otway National Park and “The Shipwreck Coast” with many stops including huge stone monoliths of the Twelve Apostles, the Island Arch and Razorback, Loch Ard Gorge - the site of the tragic shipwreck of the “Loch Ard”, and stark remains of London Bridge. Then visit Port Campbell - holiday resort and fishing village before returning to Melbourne via Colac. You may prefer to select a 2-Day Great Ocean Road Tour instead, thus extending your stay in Melbourne by 1 day.
Day 07
Breakfast at your hotel. Make your way to Melbourne airport for your flight to Adelaide. (Estimated flight time: 1hr) Make your way to the selected Adelaide hotel upon arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 08
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for the Grand Barossa with Wineries & Hahndorf - the Barossa Valley with its Bavarian Villages, baroque Italienate Chateaux and stunning scenery gives a unque mix of Europe in Australia. Breath in the beauty of Adelaide Hills in the leafy greenness of the quaint yet charming villages, so close yet removed from the city bystle of Adelaide. Finally, the German settlement of Hahndorf evokes sounds, tastes and smells of Bavaria.
Day 09
Kangaroo Island Highlights - Early start for your coach travel to Cape Jervis for your sea voyage through the Backstairs Passage to this sailing shipwreck island, home to the Wallaby, Goanna, Echidna, Koala, Kangaroo and a haven for marine wildlife and seabirds. Visit Seal Bay the home of 500 rare Australian Sea Lions. Then relax with your friendly tour guide over a freshly prepared barbecue lunch before continuing your sightseeing in the afternoon. See the unspoilt bushland wilderness of Flinders Chase National Park with its vast yacca and mallee vegetation. At Rocky River Koalas, kangaroos & emus. At the aptly named Remarkable Rocks marvel at the weirdly shaped granite boulders from peculiar natural sculptures and the amazing shapes of Admiral’s Arch cut by the sea & wind. Kangaroo Island is a photographer's dream with magnificent scenery and abundant wildlife providing a day to remember. After the tour of the island enjoy a spectacular 30 minute scenic flight back to Adelaide. You may select a 2-Day Kangaroo Island Tour instead, thus extending your stay in Adelaide by 1 day.
Day 10
Breakfast at your hotel. Make your way to Adelaide airport for your morning flight to Alice Springs. (Estimated flight time: 2hr 30min) Upon arrival in Alice Springs transfer to the selected hotel. This afternoon depart your hotel for the Didgeridoo Show Outback (Dinner & Show) - Enjoy an evening of entertainment by acclaimed didgeridoo players and a two-course dinner. You will be moved by the stirring renditions and spectacular imagery that captures Central Australia's unique natural, cultural and pioneering history. A spellbinding musical and visual journey through the ancient landforms, history and space of Australia's Outback.
Day 11
Breakfast at your hotel. Early morning departure by coach to Ayers Rock with a stop at the Camel Farm, arriving Ayers Rock at approximately 13.00. This afternoon depart your hotel for the Kata Tjuta, Valley Of The Winds Walk, Sunset & BBQ Dinner - Your guide will escort you on a walk through Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) to the Valley of the Winds lookout. On your return journey watch sunset over majestic Kata Tjuta with a glass of sparkling wine. After sunset travel back to our BBQ site to enjoy an Australian barbecue dinner consisting of steak, sausages, kangaroo, salads and bread, complimented by Australian sparkling wine. There is time for stargazing too (weather permitting).
Day 12
Early start this morning for your Uluru Sunrise Climb & Base Tour - watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains. Enjoy a warming cup of tea or coffee as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru. Those wishing to climb Uluru will be rewarded with spectacular views from the top. Enjoy a guided tour around the base of Uluru where you will see a number of interesting features including a walking tour to Mutitjulu Waterhole. There is also time to visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon coach transfer from your hotel to Ayers Rock airport is included. Depart Ayers Rock for Cairns (flights must be booked to depart after 1:30pm). (Estimated flight time: 2hr 30min) Upon arrival in Cairns make your way to the selected hotel in Cairns, Palm Cove or Port Douglas. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 13
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for a spectacular Great Barrier Reef Cruise - Travel to Outer Reef aboard a luxury air-conditioned fast cat. On-board presentation on the Great Barrier Reef hosted by a Marine Naturalist. A delicious buffet lunch is included. Guided coral viewing from semi-submersible craft and glass bottom boat. All snorkelling equipment and a guided snorkelling tour with a Marine Naturalist are included. For those who love diving - an opportunity to dive on the Reef (extra option).
Day 14
Breakfast at your hotel. This morning depart your hotel for a Kuranda Rail / Rainforestation / Skyrail Tour - An amazing journey awaits you as you travel one of the worlds most scenic rail routes through hand hewn tunnels and over bridges spanning spectacular gorges. View the Barron Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda Station. Spend some time exploring this quaint Village before a short journey brings you to Rainforestation set in 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest. Board the unusual amphibious Army Duck for a different look at the Rainforest. An experienced guide will show you unique tropical fruits, ancient rainforest plants and point out a number of our native animals as you meander through the Rainforest. Join the Dreamtime Walk for an insight into ancient Aboriginal and Islander history. A delicious barbeque lunch is included before visiting the Wildlife Park. Cuddle a koala, smile at a crocodile and hand feed the kangaroos and wallabies. A range of other native animals and reptiles are also on display. Time to return to Kuranda and board Skyrail, an experience which takes you over the Rainforest canopy with stops along the way allowing you to take a stroll or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre before arriving at Caravonica Lakes where your coach will be waiting to return to your hotel.
Day 15
Breakfast at your hotel. Make your way to Cairns airport for your outbound flight.
